I was already to go with a recipe I found on the internet and then realized my local grocer didn’t have all the ingredients I needed. I improvised and came up with this:
In food processor blend:
1 large clove of garlic
1/2 cup of olive oil
1 cup of basil
salt & pepper
1/4 cup of hazel nuts
1/4 cup of pine nuts
1 cup of cooked squash (I used frozen)
*Optional: 1/4 cup of cilantro*
Makes enough for 4 servings of pasta.
Garnish with whole hazel & pine nuts.
