Traditional Apple Pie

Yum, it’s definitely pie season!

This is an easy favorite.

Crust:

3 cups pastry flour

1 tsp salt

3/4 cup of butter, cut into crumbles

Spring 5-6 tbsp of water

*I find it’s best to knead the dough with your hands*

Refrigerate for at least 20 mins

Then use 3/4 of it to roll out as a base for the pie and the rest as a topping, either for a quilt pattern, or use cookie cutters to do a design on top.

Mix:

1/3 cup butter

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 tbsp cinnamon

1 tbsp nutmeg

4-5 green apples, peeled & chopped
