After a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day I wanted to come home and flush some of the Guinness out of my system with some chocolate. The nutmeg gives it sort of an egg nog taste but you can always use cinnamon instead for more of a traditional hot chocolate taste:
Simmer the milk in a pot (enough for a mug), stir in 1-2 tbsp of cocoa powder (depending on your taste), 1 tsp vanilla, & 1-3 tsp sugar (depending on taste). Once the chocolate is absorbed it’s ready to serve! I added some more coconut whip cream (which had melted by the time I took the photo).
I like soy milk for hot chocolate but coconut, almond, or rice milk works too!
