Cocoa-Oat Truffles

I was beginning to worry that my chocolate dipped strawberries weren’t going to be enough for my big family dinner this Sunday.  So I went onto the Whole Foods Market website for a simple dessert recipe (can you guess where I work yet?) and found this one for Cocoa-Oat Truffles.

I replaced the dates with walnuts and the whole thing took me literally 15 minutes! The result is a a little bitter but will be amazing with coconut whipped cream!

My truffles being dusted with chocolate and some icing sugar to sweeten them a bit.

    Yum! One question, why would they be bitter? Perhaps because you left out the dates? Did you leave out the dates because they are so sweet? Do we need to go to the WF website to get the recipe? Okay, so I had 4 questions instead of one! Thanks Lindsay! Marcia

      Haha no problem! That’s probably why they were a little bitter! I’m just not a fan of dates myself 🙂 They were still pretty tasty, just bitter like dark chocolate.
