High Kick Tahini Wraps

I had been bugging my friend Shawna to join me for bootcamp for weeks when she finally relented. (You might remember Shawna from this post)

After Rich thoroughly kicked our asses she invited me over for dinner and I had no idea what my mouth (or my eyes) were in for.

She seemed a little worried how it would taste but it was so amazingly delicious (Shawna would call it ‘Awesome-Sauce’) that I made almost the exact same thing the next night. It felt like fireworks of taste exploding in my mouth and in my belly. It was one of those dishes that you eat until you’re in pain and then you push past the pain for a third helping.

High Kick WrapsHere’s what Shawna put on her wrap:

  • Guacamole
  • Chickpeas
  • Shredded carrots & cabbage
  • Kraut from Firefly Kitchens
  • Her Magical Tahini Sauce

She told me that she made the sauce by mixing (sorry she doesn’t remember the amounts of each!):

  • Tahini
  • Garlic
  • Maple Syrup
  • Hot Sauce
  • General Seasoning
  • Miso
  • Olive Oil
  • Water

We were pretty giddy after the amazing wraps that after watching some ‘So You Think You Can Dance?’ we decided that yes. We did think we could dance.

I can tell you that there is no better way to end a night than watching your friend repeatedly attempt a high kick by jumping off her couch:

High Kicks

Shawna gave me some of her sauce to take home so I made something similar the next night and I can promise you that it was just as magical although Rich did not offer an high kicks.

BBQ Tofu WrapsFor mine mixed together:

  • Shawna`s tahini sauce with green lentils
  • Stir friend tofu with BBQ sauce
  • Guacamole
  • Slice onions
  • arugula

If I knew that dish was waiting for me after bootcamp I would probably complain a lot less!
