My mom got me ‘Fifty Shades of Kale‘ for Christmas and I’m pretty excited because I like kale and I should eat more of it but it doesn’t get me excited. It’s more of a question of how can I get some kale into my amazing dinner plans than wanting to curl up with a bowl of kale on a stormy Friday night.
The book isn’t vegan and most of the recipes are mostly sneaky ways of getting kale into things you’re already eating than amazing main dishes. One of the best recipes is for Kale-aise which packs about 2 cups of kale into your veganaise and that’s a really easy way to increase your kale intake.
Soooo I don’t want to get sued but I’m sure you can figure out how to put kale into your veganiase… (add some lemon juice, garlic, and some olive oil in a blender basically).
The book also suggests using the veganaise on Kale Slaw which is…very tasty! Pour some of that sauce on cabbage, kale, carrots, peppers, radishes, or whatever!
The result is that I have seen the light! I’m craving kale!
